Kaitlyn Gaynor

incoming Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver

Kaitlyn Gaynor is an incoming Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the National Center for Ecological Analysis in Santa Barbara, California. Kaitlyn's research examines the behavioral responses of animals to human presence, the effects of anthropogenic disturbance on predator-prey interactions, and the socio-ecological dynamics of human-wildlife coexistence. She is currently leading an effort to understand how recreation impacts animal movement and behavior across national parks in the United States. Outside of research, she enjoys recreating outdoors and is increasingly concerned about how to do it responsibly and sustainably. (Website: www.gaynorlab.weebly.com)
